Evangelize the Lost - Equip the Believer - Expand the Gospel
OUR MISSION
Peoples Baptist Church of Fayetteville has a rich history of serving the Fayetteville community. Guided by the teachings of Jesus Christ, our leadership, pastors, and volunteers are dedicated to spreading His message. We welcome worshippers of all ages and backgrounds, to worship God together.
What we believe
Holy Scriptures: We believe God’s holy scriptures are verbally inspired of God and inerrant in the original writings; and that they are the supreme and final authority for all faith and practice.
The Godhead: We believe in one tri-une God who is personal, spirit, sovereign, perfect, infinite, and eternal in His being, holiness, love, wisdom, and power.
Mankind: We believe all people are by nature and choice sinful and lost; that man was the direct creation of God, man became a sinful creature, is totally depraved and, utterly unable to remedy his lost condition.
Jesus Christ: We believe Christ died, was buried and literally rose from the dead for our sins as a substitutionary sacrifice and all who believe in Him are justified only on the grounds of His shed blood.
Salvation: We believe salvation is by grace through faith not by any virtue or work of man, but received only by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ whose precious blood was shed on.
Ordinances of the Church: We believe our Lord Jesus Christ has instituted only two ordinances for His church; baptism and the Lord’s supper and that they are symbolical, not sacramental, that they impart no grace to the believer, but are acts of obedience testifying of God working in the believer’s life.
Eternal Punishment: We believe the unsaved at death descend immediately into a literal hell, the place of final and everlasting torment for all who did not accept Jesus Christ as their personal.
The Church: We believe the church is the visible body of baptized believers called out from the world and united into a body for the purpose of obeying the Great Commission.
